Whats the best game you played ?

There's too many that i like and too many to narrow it down to one. But i choose Half-life 2 in terms of bringing big new features and graphics, without muddying up (in fact it improved it) the gameplay.

The wait for Half-life 2, despite the year long delay that was announced near it's original release date in September 2003, plus the Beta leak, was worth it all.

Probably Half-Life 2. I've played it through completely probably 10+ times and played individual levels who knows how many times.

QFT. But I don't think anything will rival the sheer awe and nostalgia I got/have from Zelda64 and Mario64. Playing a game in 3D for the first time was just...epic

Either Age of Empires 2:The Conquerors or Civilization 4 (no xpacks).

AoE2 is a helluva lot better than AoE 1... in too many ways to explain. It's also a lot better than the third... gameplay is a lot better, it doesn't lag like friggin' hell on naval battles, and it's campaign/random missions were just... better. More streamlined, I guess you could say, but that's for lack of a better term. Also, AoE3 kind've ruined it with home cites; if you were dying you could just pull a card out of your ass and say "HAHA PWNT SON!". One final point: the map creator on AoE2:TC was a LOT better and easier to use than the third. Very user-friendly... I couldn't make heads nor tails of AoE3's.

Civ4: A very good game. There isn't a whole lot I can compare it to, since most PC games I play are either MMOs or RTSs. This is turn based, but it is still very nice. Taking your civilization to outer space, or crushing a rival that spans half a continent brings about a warm, fuzzy feeling inside of you. The original one, or gold, are better imo, though. Warlord units were a nice addition, but espionage I don't feel was. Being able to see all of your enemy's territory after a while, without doing jack shit to do it? That makes it a helluva lot easier. Though, I personally loved the Road to War and Rise of Civilization that came with BotS.

I love story, and Mass Effect has the best one. It is like watching Star Wars for the first time (before George Lucas ruined it).

Mass Effect is probably best with FF7 closely behind.
