Why does the horde always attack the side gate in IoC?

ideally the people who went docks catapulted to the gun tower and destroyed those guns. even if they didn't, the side allows workshop vehicles to station themselves right below that tower where the turreets can't hit them while shooting the side gate at an angle. hopefully the docks catapulters at least got inside and are seaforium charging the side gate which is a LOT shorter of a distance from the spawn of seaforium than the front gate. all this while the outside catapults are hitting it from the outside.

Because if you attack from the front, the base will cleave you. IF you charge from behind, it will do a tailswipe.
