Channeling spells - Arena

A question: Is it intended that channeling spells, for example the warlock spell "Drain Mana" isn't able to los once they have tagged me with it? I find that rather weird as they are Draining my mana through the wall? Lazer?

I would say so as you are very vulnerable to interrupts when channeling spells. But that's just my opinion as I play a rogue and I love people channeling spells which just means a 5 second spell lockout with my kick.

Besides their downsides (spell lockouts) imagine a lock trying to drain mana you and you just hide behind the pillar and then go out again....it just doesn't make sense.

It's been part of arena forever. There are several downsides to channeled spells. Also, if you are getting mana drain spammed by a warlock, where is your partner?
