I have like 100 Emblem of Triumph and like 90 Emblem of Frost. Haste/crit/hit Capped.

sorry if this was mentioned i was in a hurry didnt read the replys, thats a mage trinket and a damn good one for a mage but a damn poor one for a boomkin your better off with the sundial(as im sure someone has already mentioned)

"Delaying your strongest spell" is all relative.

in a 4 minute 10 fight you could use starfall 5 times, in a 5 minute fight you could use starfall... you guessed it, 5 times still.
I'm not saying the trinket is good but it's not entirely acurate logic shooting down the benifits of lining up long cooldown buffs/procs to compliment each other.

No, but the fact is, you are very, very likely to get your eclipse out of sync with your starfall, and that means you have to hold back on your starfall. Then, instead of 5 starfalls in a 4 minute fight, you are looking at 4 - thats a good 50k+ damage lost, just because you delayed using it just a little bit.

It's a pretty simple logic mistake that's at play here.

Starfall is (currently) a huge contribution to your overall dps, and tying it to your lunar eclipse just for a trinket isn't a smart move, much less this one.
In an ideal situation, you'd get the full stack in about 4 seconds, providing 512 haste for 15 seconds. That results in about one extra Starfire every 4th Lunar.

Before the Starfall buff, that was a somewhat okay tradeoff, but now it just doesn't add up. If you want that haste for your Lunars, Shard of the Crystal Heart offers the same amount of haste for the full duration if you can compensate the extra hit somewhere.
