The difference being taking 3/3 Student of the Mind. or 1/3 Student of the Mind and 2/2 Burning soul. Let's assume threat is not a problem

I didn't want an original question to get lost in an already progressed thread. these specs are not the same as the ones in the other thread.

Also, range?...

What I am trying to get is opinions if the spirit or the pushback is more ideal. I'm undecided.

Actually the second talent is pushback reduce and threat reduce, not range

Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to stick with 1/3 student and threat reduce. I don't feel a need to take magic absorption since i'm only doing normal modes. ( I've also never had it before and I don't die to unavoidable damage )

Blizzard works hard to give you 2-3 free talents points to put pretty much where you want without any affects to your dps so you pick stuff you prefer.

Some people prefers the Resist given from MA to help their survival and help their healers in progression content: Even if your guild only do normal mode, a boss you havent killed is Progression. Receiving that ~500 damage more resisted on Sindragosa may go a long way!

Some prefer the safety of range, or the pushback, or clings to whatever 0.03% crit they can get.

Whenever someone ask for the "best" in a personal choice such as "Best Race", "Best Class", "Best Spec" (I'm talking about 2-3 free points here)... I just feel like slapping them behind the head.

Cant you make your own personal choices yourself?
