how much DPS does an ele shaman add?

In the small amount of experience I've had PvEing on my shadow priest, I was hovering just below 3k DPS. But, today, in Heroic PoS, I broke 4k on 1 boss without BL and 4.2k w/ BL. Is that normal, or did I just perform better than normal?

8% crit (5 from oath, 3% from ToW debuff), 5% haste, and 280 spellpower. It was either those, or a curse of elements effect.

280 SP = ~350-400 more DPS. 8% more crit is probably about the same. Don't underestimate the power of raid buffs.
