Which starting Pokemon?

i love dragonlike creatures that time so i picked up Charmander cause i knew he was evolving into a dragon(even if Charizard is not dragon type :-p)

Squirtle because when i started playing i didnt know all the weaknesses and such i thought it went like this for the main part

but after a bit of playing i realized fire beats grass, grass beats water, water beats fire. I began learning other things about it aswell.

I chose charmander not because I liked him (yeah that was part of it) but because I never found a fire pokemon as good as him.

Whereas for water you can get Gyarados and for Grass you can get Vioplume or Victorybell.

I like squirtle because when he become blastoise, you can teach him ice beam, then he dominates grass and fire. Squirtal > Life

charmander hes fire and is one of my favourite pokemon and fire pokemon were hard to come by in that first pokemon and was by far one of the most powerful

Charmander's awesome, but he's difficult to start with since brock is an all-rock type gym leader, most people hit a snag unless they've gotten a hold of a grass type somehow
