I have always been wondering about this. In the encounter, he makes you need to "kill" your friends that got 12k hp. But what if you solo him? I know, it might be hard, but it would be nice to see what will happend

Pretty sure that you would still get your mirror image, but that's about it.
It would just be you as an image.
It doesn't spawn your image during insanity, just those of other grp members. Most likely it's just going to end instantly.
My guess would be that the insanity ends automatically.
I can't confirm though, Talderaam does too much magical damage for me to solo and they've fixed the wall jumping bug so i can't reach herald on my own to test.
Sanctity, level 110 Blood elf protection Paladin of <Fallout> on Tarren Mill EU
blood dk/ prot pala tank will be the only players where there is a chance
His mind flays can be reflected if timed properly with a Prot Warr. You have to have the first spell reflect up right after you charge, and continue keeping it up as soon as the cd wears off, or when he comes back form insanity.
I would be curious to try this on mah shaman w/ wolves out.
prot warrior would be substantially easier than prot paladin, not sure why you mentioned a prot paladin tbhOriginally Posted by klit33

Just soloed it on my prot pally, insanity instantly ends.
Most of the damage on Herald Volazj is from his Mind Flay.Originally Posted by Shiira
Paladins can interrupt one (or two if Belf), warriors can spell reflect every one. You won't need healing on a warrior.
Besides, prot paladin healing is bad. Real bad.

Probably just instantly ends insanity.
