Looking for reccomendation on software to make website intro

Looking to make a HD Quality video for an introduction to my website.

I have a bunch of video clips and screen shots to put in it, I imagine it looking like a "Titantron" that Professional Wrestlers use.

    Any recommendations on programs?

    http://www.adobe.com/products/aftereffects/
    http://www.avid.com/US/products/family/Pinnacle-Studio
    http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegassoftware

    In alphabetical order.

Also, intro videos on websites are extremely annoying waste of time for people checking out the page.

    edit:

And when the video is done & edited in one of the programs mentioned above or using something else, you'll need
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/
to embed it into your page in a format that most web users can see. Except of course those with iPad :P
Never going to log into this garbage forum again as long as calling obvious troll obvious troll is the easiest way to get banned.
    Trolling should be.

this, and generally splash pages with flash/videos are SEO suicide if you're looking to make it a well-trafficked site that shows up high in search results.

Search engine bots love to see useful content in the index of your site and by putting that page there you're losing a lot of value on incoming links in terms of search rankings. Also if you use something like flash you could possibly leave a bot stranded if its unable to get past your intro page due to being unable to click a flash "Enter" button. Only your splash page is indexed, with a low ranking, and nobody can find you, QQ
