yeee, you tried to convince us that Lars Ulrich is a good drummer, cmon... i love Metallica, and i don't mind Lars playing in Metallica, but when i see stuff saying that he's awesome and he's the best blablablabla i just facepalm, the guys is an average drummer, plz someone prove me wrong and show me Lars doing any kind of great drumming.

btw, the answer to this ultimate metal band totally depends on what kind of metal

Petrucci and Loomis on the same band would probably not work since it's too much EPICNESS together and the Universe might explode.

While there are technically better drummers, Lars Ulrich works very well in that composition. And I think they could form a good band.

Thanks for turning this into a thread about a band with a vocalist who hasn't been able to sing well for 20 years, a guitarist who is slightly above average, a drummer who can't keep time and managed to champion anti-filesharing along with... Actually, Cliff Burton was an amazing bass player.

Note: Metallica was actually a good band for their first few albums.

Singer1 - Phil Anselmo (he but the Thrash Metal in Pantera)
Singer2 - Freddy Mercury (because he's the only guy that makes vocal solos)
Guitar - Dimebag (and he made Pantera sound awesome)
guitar2 - Brian May (a guitar player that can hold his own next to Freddy Mercury)
guitar3 - Dave Mustaine (he formed a better Metallica (sry guys))
Drummer - Mikkey Dee (awesum)
bass - Arif Mirabdolbaghi (Protest the hero. Watch the sequoia throne video, he's awesome XD)
