Feral tank, t10 and problems with hit.

    Ok, so here's my armory.

    http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sh...&cn=Allnatural

I'm looking for a little advice. I've just saved enough badges to buy the fourth piece to my t10 set, setting me up for the bonus, however gaining those has cost me roughly 130~ish hit through the loss of the t9 i was wearing before.

I can replace the wrathful bracers with, http://www.wowhead.com/item=50264, but are a fairly hefty downgrade in terms of stats.

I'm hoping to replace my chest with, http://www.wowhead.com/item=50001, if i can ever get it to drop for me. Should i just wait on this one drop to solve my hit problems? Or should i temporarily replace my stam gems with all out hit to compensate for this massive loss in hit?

I don't like to be under the hit cap, especially without me glyphing growl. I've not yet managed to test this in a raid environment (as i've only just upgraded) and am just wondering what you guys do to combat this massive lack of hit on our tier gear?

Hit solved, fairly easy to get also.

Yes i noticed it will be a downgrade from what you currently have, but there it is

Edit: also if you have access to heroic icc25 the Heroic Ikfirus's Sack of Wonder covers a HUGE part of the hit.

also you might want to check out Sejta: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sh...Blade&cn=Sejta

he is still 2% under cap, so i am not sure if it is possible to cap our hit without sacrificing to much HP/Armor o.O
    Oh hi

His boots are much better than those. He's better off realizing that, while it's nice to be hit capped, it's not as important for a tank.

I run pugs, and am currently working on getting access to icc10 hm, but i doubt i will ever see icc25 hm, as i don't have the time or willingness to run/join guilds.

It's not as important no, but missing a FFF, mangle, maul at the start of a boss can really throw spanners in the works, aswell as the more likely and annoying fact growl will miss alot more often, which makes bosses like saurfang and putri very annoying. unless i can find a stack of maul/growl glyphs going cheap i'd like to be close to hit cap.

Re: Feral tank, t10 and problems with hit.

Yea as said ICC itemization has very low hit, so just take what you can get for most of the part. Dont bother dropping a better tanking item for a hit item.

Thanks to Stanton Biston for the amazing sig!

Replace your chest piece with: http://www.wowhead.com/item=47599

    Replace your weapon with: http://www.wowhead.com/item=51881

That + sack of wonder should set you straight hit wise.

You should really replace that chest piece. Awesome for DPS. Sucky for tanking.

Re: Feral tank, t10 and problems with hit.

A common problem with the itemizing of ICC is more or less trying to cap expertise, hit - or both.
The current gear setup I have now allows me to be capped in both of those fields.

    http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sh...&cn=K%C3%A3yla

This armory page might show at least one possible way of going with your gearing.

Re: Feral tank, t10 and problems with hit.

I already solve the hit problem dealing with ICC and no one listen to me.

Here is the list and you only need to gem two hit rating type gem if you are alliance and four if you are a horde player: Auroro's Tanking set.

Once you reach 277 gears level, alliance would only need one hit rating, and the horde three.

If you aren't hit capped on Heroic Saurfang and miss a taunt, you'll probably wipe.

Re: Feral tank, t10 and problems with hit.

Just get Sack of Wonder and you will be hit capped, your only .6% off from it now (if you drop Maul for growling).
You really only need hit cap for your growls other then that its just more TPS

I would also drop your Glove/chest enchants for 18 stam and your nightmares tear right now is useless, Just place a Shifting Dreadstone in your helm for more dodge or for a Stam bonus somewhere else

Edit: Change your idol to Idol of the Corrupter, its better then your current. Also you might want to change your boot enchant to tuskars vitality as its better for any fight involving movement.

He is actaully 1% over cap (for taunts)

If i could get chest pieces to drop, it would be awesome to replace yes, but as of right now, it's the best i've had drop, the same with weapon, nothing that even approaches an upgrade has dropped since i got that on ony release.

There's this amazing thing called Glyph of growl... And if you dont wish to sacrifice a slot for it all the time, just keep some with you... costs ca 6g to switch and switch back.

Re: Feral tank, t10 and problems with hit.

    Get http://www.wowhead.com/item=50001

It solves hit and any expertise issues you would have. Its a must for tanking. If it doesn't drop, just buy it. Gold = shit in this game.

and you only need 236 hit + glyph (if I calculated right), because taunt needs spell hit. without glyph it is in fact impossible to reach taunt/growl hitcap. Except you want to gem Hit in every single socket.

Re: Feral tank, t10 and problems with hit.

Basically your options for hit rating w/T10 are:

    Chest: http://www.wowhead.com/item=50001
    Neck: http://www.wowhead.com/item=50195
    Back: http://www.wowhead.com/item=50074
    Wrist: http://www.wowhead.com/item=47155
    Belt: http://www.wowhead.com/item=50778
    Ring: http://www.wowhead.com/item=50447
    Ring: http://www.wowhead.com/item=51913
    Ring: http://www.wowhead.com/item=50404

Choose 3 slots as that's really all you can afford. The problem with the rings (aside from rep ring) and neck and cloak are that you lose a ton of armor by choosing those slots to add hit.
I didn't get the wrist off Anub'arak heroic so I currently use:

Heroic Ikfirus' Sack of Wonder (114 Hit)
Heroic Soulthief's Braided Belt (54 Hit)
    Exalted Rep Ring (55 Hit)

This puts me at 223 hit rating (6.8%) and with a Squid in my group (I am Alliance) I hit 7.8% hit rating without gemming for it or using hit food. Even without the squid I can live with 1.2% miss since my expertise is also at 43 (10.75%) meaning without a squid I still have only 4.65% chance to miss/get parried. Even if you get the normal version of the Sack and the Belt with exalted ring you'll still be over 200 hit which is sufficient imho.

The chest piece I linked you though isnt a drop, its a LW pattern and much better for you then what you're currently using.

You are not "capped" in expertise. Expertise caps at 56 (14%). You are thinking of the dodge "cap" for expertise which is 26 (6.5%). If you are only shooting for the dodge cap you are still losing out on a ton of threat/dps gain. This may be ok for tanking ICC 10 with a casual guild, but you want 40+ expertise if you are trying to clear 25 man or going into heroic 10 and heroic 25.

You do not need to be Expertise hard caps. Hit cap is needed for threat.

once you are at 26 Expertise then you are good enough. There is not alot of parry bosses in ICC.

    Grab these choice
    Chest: http://www.wowhead.com/item=50001
    Neck: http://www.wowhead.com/item=50195
    Ring: http://www.wowhead.com/item=50404

Put hit rating gems in these
Neck: http://www.wowhead.com/item=50195 (Vivid Eye of Zul)
    Ring: http://www.wowhead.com/item=50404 (Rigid King's Amber)
Cloak: http://www.wowhead.com/item=50466 (Rigid King's Amber) (Horde)
Wrist: http://www.wowhead.com/item=50333 (Rigid King's Amber) (Horde)

    Now you are hit cap.
