What is the Arena Tornament?

obviosly it is a tornament ;D but arn't the arena saesons baisically tornaments? so why do you hav to pay to enter the "Tornament" but not seasons...im kinda confused :s can someone shed some light please?

basically you get to create 2 chars on arena realms and you can buy full pvp gear from them + gems + chants (and i think proffs 450 too with free mats) for free from vendors

i remember it being 3 because i had to delete certain characters to make new ones. also i don't remember it being an elimination i just remember it being the top teams get the prizes.

Does my account have to be active before the arena tournaments hits? ...
or
Could I activate my account when it is up, and then join the tournament?

I assume, I need to have an active account, and reactivating when the tournament comes online doesn't help, or I'm I wrong?

ye your only allowed 3 chars - they start at lvl 80 in random areas which have lots of vendors that give out free pvp stuff. I wonder if they will keep it deadly gear and t7 or let us use newer armor as they kept it at S2 and t5 in TBC on the second tourny. I'll be getting it for shitzngigglz probably run TSG or sumthing as holy pala then mess about on random chars. The only thing you can do on these realms is Arena (skirmish and rated) and duel. No instances/raids/bgs are enabled and it's very limited in what you can do.

They should enable the bgs for extra funzorz :<
