Crafted boots over ToGC10 boots

So im currently at 262 hit and would really like to get the crafted boots. If I remove these boots http://www.wowhead.com/item=47992 I am losing quite a bit of hit. Would it be worth it to replace the acidmaw treads with the crafted 264 boots? Just a little unclear how important it is to have 263 hit.

Fist question is, is it for Cat or Bear? If bear go for the crafted ones, if cat, hopefully someone with better cat knowledge will answer.

Well, assuming you're talking about cats..

I'm still using http://www.wowhead.com/item=47077 on my kitty. Getting to Arp hardcap is priority #1, but you're going to lose lots of hit while getting there. Therefore Treads are still a great choice for cats. Eventually I'll want to replace those with http://www.wowhead.com/item=50607.

If you can't get the Treads, use the crafted boots.

Just a little unclear how important it is to have 263 hit.

Not too important for kitties. I'm around ~6% myself with some +hit gems & enchants (7% with a Draenei) while being Arp capped, and that's enough. You can manage with even less hit than that (Rawr tells me I could switch some hit for other stats and gain more dps, but I prefer my own setup in practice, never trust dps calculators too blindly).

Sorry forgot to state. I am in fact a bear. I have heard hit is not terribly important as I could get glyph of growl. But I want to make sure before i go and spend the frost on the boots.

You need to get enough hit rating for the glyph to work. You need about 5 to 8% melee hit for it to be good enough.

You'll be fine. If you notice rng screwing you on a taunt rotation fight then use the taunt glyph.
