Depends on your gear. Mage stats boost each other (i.e. haste increases the value of crit and spellpower; sp increases the value of haste and crit; crit increases the value of haste and sp), so there's no easy formula or cut off.

Just run optmizer in rawr and you'll notice when it tells you to gem reckless ametrines in red sockets.
