Problem connecting to my guilds vent...

For the past two days I have been trying to sort this out without any luck, so I turn to you to help me out.
When I try to connect it says there is a server available but when I press connect it says "MSG: Connecting to Server." but nothing happens. The help screen appears and states that the server is down when it clearly isn't and I should contact the admin. I can connect to other guilds vent but not my current one which I find very odd. I have reinstalled it 10 times over and checked the IP and port number even more but still nothing.
I am using version 3.4 for Mac OSX.
I even installed bootcamp to run windows 7 to see if it was a Mac issue but I still get the same problem.
I am all out of ideas and have absolutely no clue why I can't connect.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Check you have the right info for the server.

then double check

and then triple check
