Thread: Refresh rate.

    Refresh rate.

    I have a 1600x900 widescreen LCD monitor.

    It is 60hz refresh rate.

I was wondering if I bumped it up to say 70hz refresh rate in WOW would it do anything bad? Or would it do anything at all?

    Re: Refresh rate.

You won't see a difference no matter what your refresh rate is on an LCD monitor, but if your monitor is only capable of 60Hz you can't go any higher on an LCD monitor. Changing it won't matter.

This is true. Make sure you're using a compatible refresh rate. If you run it at a higher refresh rate than it can handle, it will either be of no help or could cause funky things to happen.

no benefit, if the monitor is native to 60hz, thats all you're going to get. Unless you just bought one of those newer native 120hz monitors that acer and a few other brands just brought out.

I'd love to have on at 2560x1600 resolution and 30", but not anytime soon it seems
