    discuss the new orcish architecture

what do u like about it and why?

    - i like it that they seem more sturdy and not so flimsy like the old ones.
    - i like that they're bigger.
    - i like that they are everywhere, gogo horde

    - i dont like that they are so dark, i liked the old colors.
    - i dont like the fact that they put unnecessary parts on them,
like, why do they have those huge and heavy spikes? anti-dragon defense? lol
or the fact that there are non-functional chains everywhere,
serving no purpose, just a waste of matterials and time.

Garrosh basicly looked over the place and said "You know what this place needs...".

    And there you go.

The more miscellaneous chains and spikes, the more badass. ;D

I, personally, love the darker feel of Orgrimmar. It makes it feel more befitting of their new, more violent leader
Plus they opened up more parts of Orgrimmar to make it feel less dark.

I like them. I think they fit the orcs perfectly

The Orcs put spikes on everything. In Warcraft 3 there was something that you could research that puts spikes on all your buildings.

I don't like Garrosh, but I like him as Warchief. Don't get me wrong, Thrall is awesome, but he was much to friendly for WARcraft. We need a bloodthirsty brute for the Orcs, because well (I'm going to get flamed for this, I'm sure) that's what the Orcs are.

this. spiky buildings are a hallmark of orcish architecture and have been since WC1

the new orchitecture reminds me of warhammer 40000k the RTS version . every time you give the gretchens a build order they respond with "we'll make it orky" and garoosh and his decorating have indeed made it orky,if only the wow orcs would build a huge siege platform ontop of a giant kodo and cover it with cannons like the ork "oh shit they built one of those, not again" unit .

I won't miss the old Orgrimmar at all. The new city to me displays a race that isn't going to lie down and take a beating from another faction.

Psychological warfare. Demoralizing enemies attacking your city with frightning images is a great tactic.

I like the old peacefull version of oggrimar more, but I am just an alliance so it would not change much for me.
It has become more orcish though

    personally I love it
if you compare that to the current orgrimmar, the current orgrimmar looks way to nice, to flowerie-shunshiny etc
I wont miss the old skins

I dont throw this word around a lot, but imo, theres only one word for the new orgrimar and the new style of orcish arcitexture: Badass.

it's less cartoony and not as many huge ass bones that we were given no explanation on how they were acquired or what species they came from

one thing i will miss about the old org is the ability to just joyfully afk on top of the bank on w/e mount you so chose.

It seems like he infused old style horde architecture with metalworking and steampunk designs learned in northrend.

    I for one love it

you know what i always wonder... why dont we phase this in?
I mean is this just the new and improved architecture or did he really change the city?
i always find it amussing how things change in a short time instead of phasing things part by part.
