<Ten> is a guild formed by several experienced raiders aiming to have fun in raids. We happen to believe that a focused raiding experience leading to bosses being downed is what makes raids fun. We are ambitious but realistic, mature but friendly, and we're a community of like-minded people rather than a band of raiders.

Recruitment is currently open for a balance druid, a holy priest, a holy paladin and a feral or warrior tank. We will also be willing to take into serious consideration any raiders of specs that aren't on this list assuming they have exceptional experience and the right attitude.

We raid four nights a week (Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday) and we're 10/12 ICC25 heroic, with Professor at 5%. Our short-term goal is to aim for a server-first Lich King Heroic 25 kill and our medium-term one is to build a world-class guild for Cataclysm.

We have had some applications and in-game whispers in the past few days that seem to ignore the realities of progression raiding, so I thought I'd be a bit more explicit here, for the benefit of everyone.

We raid four nights a week. On a productive week, we're wiping on new bosses about 75% of the time. Why are we wiping? Because we like killing new bosses and the only way to accomplish that is by having 25 people collectively learn a fight. If you think that reading tankspot walkthroughs and installing silly addons can play the game for you and you get to kill bosses that you haven't wiped on at least 50 times, we are not the guild for you.

Again, we raid four nights a week. Due to the way ICC25 is designed, what will happen very soon is one of our nights will be a farm night (11/12 hard modes) and the three remaining ones will be spent learning Lich King heroic. That's about 50 wipes (assuming incoming buffs etc) a week. Wipes that may be caused by stupid mistakes, by lack of focus, by lack of gear, by people disconnecting, or by the sheer difficulty of the encounter. We are looking for people who enjoy wiping and understand that one day, we will kill LK25 heroic. If it's not that particular night, it'll be the next one, or next reset; and they sign up for those progression raids because they enjoy raiding, not looting.

We are also aiming for a server first, and that is a collateral of our being ranked second. We are looking for people who take winning with humility and who lose gracefully. We believe that today's adversary may be tomorrow's co-raider and we have very high standards of what we expect of the people behind the characters. Emo raiders need not apply.

My last remark will be about gear. We have, as of late, recruited raiders who are way below what is advised to be ICC25-ready. However, these people have made it very clear that they are worth investing on. A good application, explaining one's accomplishments in-game and what drives you to raid will do more to get you in the guild than "6000 GS LOL plz inv I has skillz". We are looking for people with demonstrable experience in wiping again and again and again. TOTC25 isn't raiding, neither is zerging Sarth3d. If you don't have that experience, convince us that you're worth bringing along to progression raids anyway. Don't waste our time (and yours) if all you need is some nice 277 loot that will stay unused because progression raiding isn't your thing.

What we offer in return is this:

. A social environment full of mature people who share the same outlook of the game
. Calm raids. There is no shouting on Vent. This isn't the army and you aren't a 10 year-old. If you mess up, you'll receive a whisper, not a public flogging.
. A small, very stable officer team that reacts proactively and quickly to any issues.
. Fairness in all aspects of guild life.
. The chance to help us make <Ten> the top guild of the realm.

If you think this sounds like a good deal, by all means apply. Our site is at http://ten.guildomatic.com
