Levelling a rogue

I just started levelling a rogue, the old fashion way. This essentially means I haven't send any money to her, no heirlooms (well, I have the bow, leftover from my hunter). However, I use the LFG tool (not that old fashion after all).

Anyway. I'm trying to decide on what spec to choose, especially at low level (before outland. I'm not sure I'll ever make it there). I have a few ideas, but I'd like your opinion on those.

The objective is mainly to be able to solo as much as possible group quests, and quickly downing mobs (with minimum downtime).

Do you have any comments, or suggestions about those?

Go with what's fun to you, if you choose a spec based on speed, but you hate it, you'll probably end up hating your rogue.

I wouldn't go sub though if I were you I am currently leveling a rogue at the moment too and sub is not the way to go especially when you come across big mobs and the guy you need to kill is surrounded by 4 other guys, go combat until at least 55 then it's about even between combat and assassination after that. I have a sub spec though which I use for PVP.
