Title: The God of Madness
Race: Old God
Appearance: The Old God of madness is similar to his brothers C'thun and Yogg-Saron, in the fact that his body is blob-shaped - purple in color - with many tentacles protruding from him. Sheog'thra has three different kinds of tentacles. One, with a natural blade at the tip, is used for crushing, piercing and slashing. The second one has a growth at the end, made of Primordial Sheochite, which is used to absorb ambient magic, strengthening him. A third type of tentacle has a claw-like hand at the end, essentially making it an arm with limitless movement. This is the largest of the three tentacles, and the most devestating as well. Along his body, Sheog'thra has what at first looks to be scales, but are in reality thousands of claw-like hands. He has a mouth, similar to Yogg-Saron's, with a large clawed finger as a tongue. In the middle of his "forehead" lies an eye, similar to C'thun's, but bright orange, with a deep purple iris.
Sheog'thra has an avatar that he uses to meddle in mortal affairs. Usually, he takes the form of an undead, human, quel'dorei, or sin'dorei wearing a rich purple and gold suit, with a goldish-orange shirt underneath, and carrying a wooden cane with what looks like an eyeball in the pommel. His hair is usually short, gray, and slicked back. If a human or elf, he will sport a goatee, of the same color as his hair. If an elf, however, it's less large than when he is human. When amoung mortals, he uses the name of "Shane" (as a human or undead), or "Selion" (as an elf). (Picture of him as a human)
Personality: Sheog'thra is of course, insane. His personality can be one of happiness, paranoia, anger, or logic. These different atributes shift from time to time, and one will never find a combination of them in Sheog'thra's current personality. Aside from these general personas, Sheog'thra is one who enjoys humor, especially grotesque, vulgar, and/or morbid humor. This sense of morbidity also permeates his personality, making him seem especially demented.
Note: the logical personality is there because of his fight with the titans; part of his mind was infected by their power. It has not spread, nor will it ever. He will retain the rest of his insanity.
Minions: Unlike the rest of the Old Gods, being the God of Madness, Sheog'thra created minions of interesting quality, instead of grotesqueness. Note beforehand that all of Sheog'thra's minions and servants are divided into two sects; that of Mania, and that of Dementia. The manics are colorful, lifely, and overindulgent. They are the embodiment of extremes. The demented are of dull, dark color, gloomy, depressed, and paranoid.
The top tier of them, the Aurel and Mazkal, are the elite. They lord over the rest of Sheog'thra's minions and servants. Generally, the Aurel and Mazkul are female, though there are some males within them. Their culture is Amazonian, in the fact that they are matriarchal. Both races are reminiscent of Valkaries, the elite soldiers of the Norse Pantheon. The Aurel are bright gold, wearing elegant armor the same hue as their skin, and rule over the manics. They are fierce warriors, and will never show mercy. They are elitist, finding all others inferior, aside from their Lord. In dealings with mortals, even those whom serve Sheog'thra, they are brash; losing their patience very quickly. The Mazkul are a navy blue or pure black color, wearing more crude and cruel armor, and lord over the demented. Like the Aurel, the Mazkul find themselves superior to others, but have more patience and humilty. They, too, are a matriarchal race, who are fierce in combat. Both races generally wield either a sword and shield, or a bow. The appearance of their equipment goes with their armor. Either choice of armament has strong anti-magic enchantments, and are used masterfully.
The lesser creation of Sheog'thra is the Agorian, a lizard man. The color of their hide is based upon which aspect of madness they embody; firey colors, predominately red, as manics, and murky colors, mainly a dark blue and muddy green, as demented. Their eyes are frog-like, who's color will depend on their alignment (a redish-orange as a manic, and a pure blue as a demented.) Agorian's are very strong, though thin. They are human in figure, aside from the lizard-like head, and the reptilian tail. Instead of hair, Agorians grow fins, or blackish brown spikes from their head. They generally wear mail armor which goes with their alignment, and wield a variety of weapons (including tridents, spears, longswords, claymores, war axes (1h), battle axes (2h), bows, and daggers), with strong anti-magic properties, like the weapons of the Aurel and Mazkul.
Mortals, too, will join Sheog'thra. They are the lowest caste of his servants. Nothing changes them physically, though mentally, they will embody the spirit of their alignment.
Byproduct: Sheochite (Madness Amber). Solid form: corrupts minds, makes people insane. Liquid form: powerful explosive. Gaseous form: extremely corrosive
History: After the Titans left Azeroth, the Old Gods emerged. Seeing the creations of the Titans, and found them wanting, the created a blessing that made them more in their image, replacing their metal skin with flesh. When Titans returned, astonished and outraged at such beauty, they fought the Old Gods, mentally injuring Sheog'thra himself with logic and order in the insuing battle, and chained them beneath the earth, and repopulated the world with their ugly creations.
Thousands of years later, the Old Gods grew strong again, and began to do things to escape their prison. After C'thun's failure at re-emerging in Sithilis, and the failure of the timeline scheme, the Old Gods began to corrupt the creations of the Titans, to re-emerge. Yogg-Saron began corrupting his jailors in Ulduar, and Sheog'thra, trapped beneath a large mountain in northern Kalimdor, began to corrupt the Emerald Dream, causing the Nightmare, a "cloud" which corrupts any living being it touches into a thing of madness.
With the green hound Ysera and her spawns occupied, Sheog'thra has recently begun to whisper to the Elemental Lord Ragnaros for plans to release him, by attacking the thing that the dragons planted, which keeps him chained: Nordrassil, the world tree. By planting the world tree ontop of the new well of eternity to keep its power from being used, the dragons unwittingly kept Sheog'thra imprisoned. If the world tree falls, he would be fully released.
All he has to do now... is wait...
