from what i remember he has a pretty nasty spell that does about 8k damage we are thinking of the same boss right?

8k? shadow res+ sacred shield + aura mastery when he cast a big shot and you wont feel much
i did him twice too, when 3.3 came out and last week
i though the hardest part was looting the hammer while the ghouls were coming at you..

but yes i have the habit of soloing stuff a lot for my rep farming/old raids

Can be hard if you're an undergeared ret paladin. Go prot or holy and faceroll it.

If you are ret, just use JoJ or SoJ. He hits like a wet noodle. Far too easy to solo, not sure how you're having trouble.

No, both are bad, since the first does nothing for you and the second reduces your damage by a lot.

I'm assuming you blowed Bubble to loot the hammer and not kill all those undead. Its easy to throw up SoC, AE down the Undead, cast HW and loot it that way- Heck, even if their attacks get absorbed by SS it won't interrupt your ability to loot the hammer.

Doing this allows you to save Divine Protection if you need it. Use JoL, SoCorr/SoV, and keep SS on yourself. Just use some AoW procs to heal yourself, and its all good.

solo'd it as holy ez, just ran straight to hammer holy wrathed, hammer killed zombies.
than i just needed to kill the boss which was just like fighting anything else.
