Fire pvp?

Does anyone have a link to a fire pvp spec including the glyphs? Was thinking scorch / living bomb / evocation glyph-wise.

toss up between a few talents though, hard decision imo

myeah been playing fire pvp for a few days now too, I only do BGs though.
My fire talents are mostly the same, decided to put 11 points in frost instead of putting 18 in arcane.
Mainly because Fire has enough interrupts and to use frostfirebolt instead of fireball ( shorter cast pre talents )

All I can say is that when teamed up with a healer it's incredibly awesome and fun to play and cause total mayhem

wasn't to sure about my 3th glyph so took fireblast, might change it to polymorph glyph though since fire is a dot heavy spec and having LB trigger ignite on a target you want to cc is annoying

Ya i was thinking Arcane just if i were solo and/or if there are no healers in BGs, and/or if there are healers but they aren't healing me ya know. Just for the mana shield survivability.

Spec looks pretty good, but id take the 2 points out of Arcane concentration & buy Focus magic + 1 more point into arcane sheilding,
Because 4% chance is about, 1 spell every 20 spells thats free. But a fire mages main loss in mana is because there forced to use mana sheild, therefore if u put 1 of the points in tehre u will lose less points all around + if you do this there isnt much point in having 1 point in arcane concentration so it will probably be more useful in focus magic

Imo though, ImpCS is a weaker choice over Arcane shielding. Fire will burst down most classes without using a CS. Depends on play style though.

Also, if you're interested in a crazy overall dmg spec and you dont care about dying too much (you shouldn't learning to paly fire anyway) try speccing
Firestarter, instant FlameStrikes pull crazy numbers in large groups

Fire is a burst spec in bgs, run in, blow up. Run away drink.
Rinse and repeat. So much fun

None of the specs in this thread list Imp. Fireball. I would have guessed that would be a mandatory talent for any fire spec pve or pvp. Can someone elaborate as to why this wouldn't be taken? What is the basis for fire pvp play? ... aka how do you play fire pvp?

FB is too long a casttime to be a nuke in PVP

scorch is generally the nuke of choice in fire PVP.

then you have your DB/BW, coupled with FSFS for maximum damage.

fire is a nice AOE pvp spec.

im currently running with this setup http://www.wowhead.com/talent#of0fczZ0EfcRG0uizrGst:Vmi and its going extremely well although if mana is an issue then swap out imp scorch for pyromaniac i have no problem using fireball as a nuke and when things get tough i find it pretty easy to take on 3-4 melee at a time with blazing speed and making sure to use my BW and dragons breath in conjunction wiht my instant flamestrike and keeping my LB's up and then spamming my pyros when they blow up

I run fire PVP, i find it nice in battlegrounds, especially AV.

My only issue is that the knockback generated by blastwave <<<<<<< <<<<< jumping <<< <<<<<<< < < Thunderstorm

gained freaking 8 levels on my shaman this weekend, it was sweet.

I once tried some Fireshatter. Works great when you're with a frost mage in BG's. Yumyum Pyroblasts with 80% crit%.

Burning determination is waste of talent points.
Im playing fire for a while and currently using http://www.wowhead.com/talent#ofcbrzrZfVcror0uiuMhst with scorch evocation and polymorph glyphs. You just need lots of crit gear to make fire work, at least 30% base crit and it starts being really fun and very strong, dont try 2v2 with healer you wont kill anything alone and you will run oom fast.

I found fire pvp to be possibly the most fun I have had with my mage. As stated already above your scorch is your main nuke, where mana allows spam LB and learn to play just outside melee range so to allow you to make the most of your blastwave and dragons breath stuns. Personally I took out all mana restoring talents and took up Burning determination and the instant cast flamestrikes. Although some people would doubt BD you do encounter some very CC happy players.

The reason for taking out the mana restoring talents was simply down to the fact you will be drinking / evocating every time you can any way and whilst fire pvp I was a very offensive player, so I went all out as soon as I could before they got me.

Enjoy the 1.5 pyro cast and make a macro telling healers not to heal you to make the most of it :P
