I raid 10 mans only and i have a boomkin with me every raid so i only need 210 hit, I'm sitting a 209 thou...

Is it worth it to toss in another gem or is the chance so low it wont really matter?

The chance is so low it doesnt matter. It doesnt worth replacing a 23 spell power gem for a hit one just to get that 1 extra hit rating. Your chance to miss as you are now is 0,03% which means you will miss 3 spells in every 10000 spells you cast

In fact, you loose more DPS by taking a sp/hit gem rather then a sp/haste or sp gem.

personaly i wouldnt want to miss a single hit couse when u miss a 14k crit orsome i wish all my others spells didnt get + 10 dmg

Someone said 3 in 10,000 spells would miss, i looked at my WoLogs from last night (just looked at Marrowgar) for spell reference, about 70(hits). which means i should only get a resist 1 in 50 boss attempts. although Marrowgar is a short fight, so it might be more realistic to expect 1-2 resist a night which i can handle.

I have icewalker on, as for waiting anything i have that's non-heroic with hit should be upgraded soonish.

1. Get boots without hit, switch icewalker to tuskarr's. 2 hit rating overcap with hit food.

2. Get T10 gloves and woven death legs. Get 2 veiled ametrines. 2 hit rating overcap without sp food.

Number 2 is obviously doable without any luck whatsoever.

on a serious note i never bothered for more then 9 hit rating... but i'm a noob ;D

Being at 209 hit rating is actually ideal in terms of dps, because then you aren't wasting any points of hit. That last rating is barely even used. .03% hit isn't worth the itemization points of even the one rating, certainly not more than one. Do nothing.

In other words, the cost of gaining 1 additional hit is not probably not worth the loss of spellpower or haste (unless it's only 1 spellpower or 1 haste).
