    Re: Soulstone change

Turn it into a BRez IMO.

Step 1: Target a fallen comrade
Step 2: Click on your summoned soulstone
Step 3: Rez your fallen comrade/profit

    Re: Soulstone change

My guess is that the current model for Soulstone will remain intact, plus add the option to do Soulburn+Soulstone as a battle rez. That way would make it simple to deal with the times when you want it on yourself and/or allow for the possibility of a b-rez of a different player during combat. This model would allow for "pre-buffing yourself > regen shard > start combat > brez during combat" BUT only if there is a lower CD on the creation of stones. Also, keeping the stone itself unique would make it difficult to do multiple brez's in a single fight even if there was no CD on stone creation at all and we are only limited by shards.

Can either of you supply a link to where you got this idea? AFAIK, they've specifically stated that we will NOT have a shard regen mechanic while in combat, that they want us to get 3 per fight, period.

These are supposed to be special moments in a fight -- think Bloodlust perhaps -- and not used every 20 seconds on cooldown (or whatever the cooldown ends up being).
Intent is for us not to regenerate, but if they find balance issues/problems they will implement something to regenerate them.

Right, but they both claimed something Blizz said they MIGHT do if the need arises will happen when the opposite is true, and currently, there is no combat regen. Unless they know something we don't

    This. What a glorious idea!

Would be interesting if they made the soulstone res bring the person back to life at the warlock's current health/mana if the warlock is still alive. It would still be situational in that you would have to have it on the right person, but would be much more powerful than a battle res because they would be able to jump up and go right into healing or tanking without worrying about heals/buffs/innervates/pots/etc/etc as much.

    Re: Soulstone change

I would like to have an item in my inventory, usable when dead, that will send a ghostly soul into a targeted corpse and bring it back to life with x amount of health and mana - this allows the SS to function on yourself, and on the raid. It wouldn't be Overpowered, as it still requires preprep and wise use, as if you burn it early in the fight on a low DPS and a healer dies, you wasted it regardless.

Mages are getting a heroism, so there is no reason warloks shouldn't get a proper Bres, unless you take into account we actually "have" a rotation requiring more than 2 buttons :P
As an Affliction Warlock, people don't seem to realise - the more of them there are, the harder I am to kill.
