Arp in Cataclysm

I am aware that Arp is going away in Cata and also that it will be changing to either Haste or Crit, which ever stat is not on that piece.

My question is, what will happen to those with Arp socketed? What will those gems change to? Obviously you can put any type of gem in your gear, regardless of what other stats are on it. Before you freak out, I am not socketing Arp as a pally, I am the Plate CC for my guild and my warriors and DKs brought this question up last night and I had no answer for them.

I guess this could have been posted in the Warrior or DK forums, but I was unsure as it really applies to all of us. And since I am a pally, here I am in the pally forums.

will probably become haste, crit or even mastery, but its hard to say since Fractured gem are yellow in cata
they cant change it to strenght since agi user would cry a river ocean

Thanks for the links though. Oh well, sucks to be a class that stacks Arp, because it looks like they will be Effed in the A.

its nothing compared to trying to find gear has a paladin without any Arp

maybe since we are talking about rogue/war, they will put a bit of effort in it..
if its for paladin you have to wait for a major patch! (cough t9 2 piece)

My guess is that all Fractured (and Runed, ftm) gems will switch to Mastery from ArP/SP, and split gems will see those two stats switched to Mastery. It would be the easiest way to make the conversions, without trying to assume who wants haste/str/agi and whatnot.

Now, that way might be easiest to code (I have no idea, really), but that may not work math-wise, so it will be interesting to see what they come up with.

Lets hope they do that for the warriors and DK specs that need it but by the light i hope if they find a ret paladin stacking armor pen they delete that persons toon, There are just to many idiots out there giving ret a bad name.
