I know it got locked, but "before it got locked" i tryed to modify it and even delete it. Diden't work.

The only reason im reposting is since i never got the chance.

I post little stuff -> Site gets bugged -> people get outrageous that my post is bad when it is not even fully posted -> person locks it.

Skipping over LS is as bad as going Fury and not taking BT or going Arms and not taking MS.

Does LS reduce Physical dmg taken? No

Does LS reduce Magical dmg taken? No

Does LS make boss hit slower? No

Does LS make you turn into a superman all the sudden and take 99,9% less dmg? No


It does only 1 thing and that is giving you 30% HP for some seconds. This is only good if your healer dc, slack, freeze. If he isen't gj on wasting 1 point in a total worthless talent. The only item i so far know that benefits from LS is 4 pieces of T10 and this is a guide for people who is just about gonna start to tank in ICC and i realy doubt they have 4 pieces of T10.

Next time if you gonna post in my thread please try to avoid posting drivel.

Reposting my reply to the last thread, sums up a lot of what is wrong with this information you supply under the guise of a "guide."

Protection Warriors main tanking ICC prioritize Health and Armor more heavily than at any previous point in the expansion. Basically, it's Health + Armor > Avoidance.

Capping hit is anything but necessary as a warrior tank. I've been running around hardmodes quite happily with 80-150hit for months now.

Won't argue about expertise. Can be more than 26 if possible though, as expertise will have use for tanks way further than that.

As far as the spec goes:

No Last Stand at all?

-> Wut. Major cooldowns should never be left out of a raid tanking spec. Also, glyph of rending is very much a waste for tanking in any environment. Glyphing for Last Stand (once you have it specced) would give you a new, powerful and essential cooldown every two minutes.

Leaving out Incite completely in favor of more points to Shield Specialization?

-> That's a whole lot of threat lost right there in an environment where tanks will be taking so much damage, that they are working with almost limitless rage in most boss scenarios.

My suggestion for spec changes:

Drop three points from Shield Specialization
Drop two points from Cruelty
Drop two points from Imp. Rend (and stop using Rend entirely!)

Add one point to Last Stand
Add three points to Incite
Add one point to Focused Rage
Add two points to Imp. Heroic Strike

Unless this is a spesific guide for TRASH TANKING, you never ever ever ever ever EVER gem for anything else then Stam. (Ofc you should be def and hit capped, doh.)

You don't work for Expertise cap. Hit cap, yes. But not expertise.

Those talents are horrible, sorry. Skipping a major tanking cooldown is just pointless. You don't even need to discuss this. Should be blantly obvious.

Talents;

You don't spec 5/5 Shield spec. Just no. 2/5 is enough.
Don't skip Incite 3/3.
What I just said about LS.
You don't go into arms tree for boss tanking. Only 5/5 Deflection

Even for trash tanking this build is really bad.

Whats wrong with Rend?

It will do same dmg/very near same dmg as any of tank abilities. The diffrence is that Rend just does it over 21 Sec with glyph instead of Instantly in GCD. But this is good since Rend will increase your TPS each 3 second.

Theres diffrence between entering ICC for rep runs and entering ICC to down 6 or more bosses.

So tanks doesn't specc into +20% Crit dmg in Arms on bosses neither the extra dps from deep wounds......i realy doub that. As i said to the other guy if you gonna talk drivel don't post in this thread. Cause i made this thread to help people.

Very decent troll attempt, or plain stupidity. Don't know which.

But LS is a Buffer. Let's say, you aren't 49khp unbuffed and have the chance that Festergut 3stack oneshots you. This is a prime example where LS shines, as it stops you from dieing. LS is not stupid, it is, coupled with ER one of the best cooldowns in even a mediocore warrior's hands.

Apparently the guy isn't even 80 yet. He was 63 as of yesterday. Hopefully as he levels he will understand how horrible his advice is. For now he can serve as a warning to others.
