i c the connection. but i wont say cata is warcraft 2 because the whole world will be looking other ways now. and the war will never be as intence in wow as it was in warcraft betweene the factions

It kind of is like WoW2, with a (partially) new world, new race/class combos, changes in leadership. So, yeah, it's probably as close as Blizzard will ever come to a WoW2, unless they make another Warcraft RTS that furthers the plot and timeline. And don't worry, not ALL the goblins are joining the Horde, just a group of them. You'll still be able to enter the neutral goblin towns.

Yes, that seems to be what they're drawing on. A Warcraft I themed expac seems unlikely, however.
