    Enchants and BoA's

So I've been reading up on enchants on BoA items and I've been reading conflicting reports, so I was hoping some people here could help clarify. I'm trying to see if I can get an Agi or AP enchant on a BoA Shoulder (Like the one from Zandalar Tribe). I've read that yes, you can enchant the BoA's with that enchant (or one similar), others say no you cannot, others say yes but you won't benefit from it until a certain level. So are there any shoulder enchants I can get where I would benefit from it from the begining, or early on?

Any enchant you put on the shoulders will not work until you reach that level. 60 - 70 or 80.
You can put them on there, but the enchant will be in red lettering and not give you any stats until you are at the Required Level.

Is that also true for items like http://www.wowhead.com/item=20077 ? The one you linked gave a level requirement, this one does not. Will it still not give me the benefit?

Yeah, this is a problem with a game like wow where things change rapidly but the data on the internet never gets updated.

The rule for heirloom items is simple. They are considered item level one. Thus, they can only be enchanted with an enchant that works on a item level of one. In order words, any enchant that has any type of level restriction cannot be used on a heirloom. period.

Mostly correct. The honor shoulder enchant (Which has a level requirement of 70, http://www.wowhead.com/item=44957) can be used of heirloom gear, but it appears in red writing till 70 and doesn't affect stats till then.
Not sure on the rest of the shoulder enchants (Hodir/aldor/scryer enchants just don't let you place them on them).

My understanding is that this situation is an acknowledged bug. That's what I recall reading some time ago. And we know how quickly bugs get fixed in this game. :'(

    Re: Enchants and BoA's

A few patches ago Blizz changed the way head and shoulder enchants worked. As a RULE, all head and shoulder enchants ONLY FUNCTION when you meet the level requirment for that SPECFIC enchant. i.e. any WotLK head enchants only become active at 80. You can place them on heirloom items, they just wont give the bouns or effect until you reach the correct level.

If you have a toon with approate Rep levels to use a ZG enchant and you want to use it, go ahead. It just wont become active until you hit the right level.

All other enchants that dont have a level requirment, i.e. Vanillia enchants will work on heirlooms. Crucader, Yes. Firey, Yes.
+150 Health to chest, No as that requires a level 35 or higher item. Thats Item Level, not player level.
