Personality:Solitary,rather pessimistic,generally kind,slow to anger.
Likes: A good brew, a good hearty meal, the peace and quiet of the outdoors.
Dislikes: Horde, all forms of undead, troggs etc... and elves. Although he can stand to work with most "Intelligent" races if its for an important common goal.
Appearance: Average height (for a dwarf, at 4'2") with lined dark craggy features and a body made of toned whip-cord tough muscle. Bjarn has a mop of shoulder length dark brown hair and a stubbly dark beard.
Strengths/Weaknesses: An excellent marksman with his rifle, a master of throwing weapons of almost any form, a decent unarmed fighter but not so great with close combat weapons of any form. Bjarn also is skilled with mortars and many other forms of black powder weaponry, including GRID's(*).

History:

Bjarn was born as an only child into a poor but happy family in Ironforge. His mother grizelda died of a wasting sickness when he was still but a cihld, leaving his father to look after him. His father, Magnus, was called away at the beginning of the 2nd war which would turn out to be the death of him. Bjarn was taught how to hunt and survive in the wilderness from a relatively young age, the only part of the lessons he had problems with were the times he had to fight in melee. After he learnt of his demise he began a time of drinking, feasting and sampling anything he so chose, but this spree ended when one morning he was forcibly evicted from the family home by Ironforge guards.
In the days following his eviction he ran out of ale and slowly began his first time in months sober, in which he realised that he had squandered all of his families savings, lost the family home and been left with no home, no money and he was alone.
He adjusted quickly to his new life, remembering his hunting lessons in his youth he ate, but only enough to survive, whenever he made a kill he used the entire body, as he had been taught.
While his first few kills were made with improvised weapons such as large rocks or branches, part of his usage of bodies was to turn ribs and other long bones into throwing darts.
He survived like this for 3 years when suddenly one day his life changed, he was tracking what he thought to be an impressively large boar when he heard a cry of horror...
He sprinted to the sound over a nearby hill and when he crested the hill he saw a pair of gnomes hastily preparing a defense to fight off a group of 17 of the regions ice trolls.
Bjarn prepared his weapons then ran to an overhang of rock above the trolls path of advance and waited. Even in his early years he was honorable and he fought for his freinds. As he waited for the trolls he was shocked by the sound of a rifle (such weapons he hadn't used since his youth...),but even with the rifle volleys the gnomes were going to be overrun, so at the last few seconds before the trolls reached them, as they passed directly under him, he leapt.
Even as he sailed through the air he unleashed a trio of his rib-darts into the mass of trolls beneath him, 2 trolls fell with their skulls pierced by the bolts, a third stumbled and cried out as the dart pierced the meat in his upper left arm. Faced with the sudden deaths of their tribe mates and the suddenly changing odds the trolls retreated.
The gnomes,Bitzy and Grinx, overjoyed at their evasion of death thanked bjarn and took him back to their home on the outskirts of kharanos where they inteded to repair him.
After a length discussion about his past, Bjarn learnt that Bitzy was first and foremost, crafters of guns and Grinx, a demolitionist.
Bjarn spent 2 weeks living with the gnomes, learning the basics of how to make guns and explosives, occasionally going off to get a boar to spice up their plain meals. On one such trip he returned only to find both of his new and only freinds dead, and 4 troll bodies piled in the doorway.
Bjarn procceeded to take up Bitzys' prized sniper and as many of Grinxs' bombs as he could reasonable carry and set off for his vengeance.

Bjarn does not speak of what happened next, he is horrified by his own actions.

A memorial was left for Bitzy and Grinx was in the form of their names carved in the bayonet of Bitzys' prized rifle.

Since then Bjarn began selling furs and hides, eventually 5 years after his eviction from ironforge he returned a different dwarf, to join the militia and fight for his homeland and in honour of his lost freinds.
Since then he has travelled the world and spent time in all of the alliances capital cities, although a large amount of time was also spent working for the explorers league, using his skills in survival to aid their expeditions.


A little other information:

Bjarn will not be seperated from his rifle, "Kharan Dolohk", the name is an old phrase his father coined to decribed what freinds will do for vengeance.
Aside from his prised rifle he carries a gnomish army knife and a small caliber one man mortar. he also is usualy in possession of 3-5 GRID's on "Grinx's Rocket Ignited Destroyers", a custom rocket designed to be fired from his rifles, an adaption of the gnome Grinx's Anti-tank rockets.
His armor also includes several sneaky pockets for holding some of his thrown weapons.
Bjarn basically amounts to a petless hunter.
Bjarn carries a decent number of flares, some the simple smoke flare variety while others follow on the path of the GRIDs, as they are designed to be fired from the rifle and fire various colours of exploding fiery doom.
He sometimes also carries a mortar dissassembled in his pack.

More potentially coming soon, depends on if i have any more flashes of insight as to what his character needs.

Yea :P. I like the character though because its rather new. It seems like almost everyone is a Paladin. So having a newish idea is cool

I'm definately glad that he isn't a paladin. His history was definately well made. At this time, I don't see any flaws, mate.

The character was done over a few days so im glad that the random changes I kept making were to some good effect.
