Low dps on ret pally

this is my first 80 but would love to have higher dps please dont mind the back i am duel spec and forgot to change it any help would be greatly apprecited i am thinking i may have to go up in strength but not sure thank you inadvance

with an average of 251/264 gear with 4pt10 as long your your hit capped and close enough to the soft exp, i currently use the 11/5/55 spec and can get 11-12k dps with just pressing the abitities when they are off cd with no real rotaion or anythning. im MS holy so dont get to dps much.

People tend to be friendlier when you write in paragraphs, sentences that aren't run-on and use apostrophes.

First of all.. whats ur dps? and why do you use Def on ur back? uhmm Learn to gem, gem STR and only STR, maybe str/crit or W/e to get socket bonues and a tip for you NEVER EVER use the 6/8/10stats gem on a Belt Buckle. Use Seal of Command on AoE combats and Seal of Vengeance on single target fights.. thats pretty much it. Tell me what ur dps ur doing now and i can help you more.

change your meta to 21 agi and 3% increased crit, use all str gems, get rid of your pvp gear your enchants arent optimal, use the gemming advice in the stickies and get DMC: Greatness

I would recommend the Ret FAQ in the Helpful Topics sticky. After reading that over and adjusting your character, and you STILL have issues, consider making a new post which details your exact problem.
