    Blizzard survey.

So, I just took the survey Blizz has sent to people.

One question stood out a bit...

"If Blizzard allowed you to purchase an extra character slot on a realm for a small fee, how interested would you be in doing that?"
    - Extremely Interested
    - Somewhat interested
    - Neutral
    - Not very interested
    - Not at all interested

Is this a step for Blizz towards seeing if we are willing to pay for having our Worgen/Goblin on our realm when we already have 10 char slots filled?

    Thoughts?

Made a poll for fun ^^

I hope they don't make you pay for it but I bet they will.

Nice. Either I pay $10-25 or I delete an 80 to experience part of the expansion I purchased on my own server.

I think if I was a business, and found out my customers would be willing to pay for something I was going to possibly make free in the future, I would take every opportunity to make some more money. Even if they do already make $2.16billion a year just from subscription costs alone, more money is always better.

They've got to be kidding. Hey, I can understand them charging for some mounts and pets, but come on. That would be like them charging us a "small fee" for when they increased the daily quest cap to 25. Now, I'm the kind of nut that wants to have one of every class on a server, and since you can have 10 toons, and there's only 10 classes, I'm good for now. I think that just like the quest log and daily quest cap, Blizzard should increase the size free of charge. A transparent horsie or a total server xfer is one thing, but I don't think a lot of people would pay for this.

The biggest problem I have with this nickle and dime stuff is not the money but the implications for priorities. For me, personally Cata is a big deal. Because if it just doesn't have that WoW factor I, for one, am going to look at initiatives like this and wonder where there attention really has been the last two years.

If they can pull these types of value added things off without mucking up the core game, more power too them. But I think right now that's a big IF.

Actually, pretty much every single one of us that has the slots filled would pay...

Correction: Would be forced to pay*

Currently Blizzard is in minus as of what I've heard. But they've spend a lot of money on Cataclysm, Diablo III and Starcraft II, and those titles aren't released yet. :]

Why does everybody see this as a bad thing ?
Do you want to pay or not ?
If yes, then you'll just pay for it without QQing
If not, then there's a chance you'r part of the majority, for which Blizz will not charge extra
If you say not and QQ all over the forums about it and then you buy it the day it's available, you'r an angry kid who has no idea what to do with his life.
I bet any other game company who'd find itself in this situation would just charge for it no questions asked.
I wish people would play other MMOs too for a while and then realise that Blizzard is much better than anything out there on long term, which is what MMORPGs are about
