neither of the trinkets you mentioned (op) are good for arcane mage, they are meant for healers.

as the above poster stated, abyssal rune and talisman (from triumph badges) are both better, if you don't have them already

i do, and was using the talisman, i have put it back on ty, just couldnt see the others as a big upgrade so ty

Ignoring the various and sundry ulduar trinkets, go with Abyssal Rune out of Reg ToC 5, and Talisman of resurgence until you can lay your hands on Anub25 trinket / Muradin / DFO / etc.

Swap out Abyssal for your first upgrade, and talisman for second.

Dislodged Foreign Object found off of 25 man Festergut or Rotfface replaces Abyssal Rune for arcane mages. I'm fire and I use the frost trinket Quill something or other. That and Muradin's Spyglass Heroic

The frost emblem trinket is a horrible, horrible waste of currency.
