While I agree that some of them should stop being used, they had no origination on these boards and simply having the boards move from one host to another is not enough to stop them from being used. 20 threads per page, is 20 threads per page.... so unless you plan on deleting every single post made on these forums, then the page will load just as quickly (or slowly) as before.

Let's just imagine bros icing bros gets so popular that it is accepted as the standard worldwide (Much as internet memes are the standard on the internet) Sure, some people would say it's immature and not participate, others wouldn't participate because they are non-conformists, others for even more obscure reasons. It doesn't change the fact that it's the way the culture evolved, and resisting change really isn't as mature as you think it is.

But really, most of europe has adapted to the Euro and it has helped the continent in many ways. Sure it's not perfect, but it's far simpler than the previous.

Perhaps it's about time we all let the old antics of the old MMO-Champion community die off instead of carrying along the extra baggage. Things like internet memes such as "cool story bro, TL;DR, troll, trolling, feed the troll, moar, lolcats, plox, lolumadbro" and all the other intentionally childish things people did and do here on a daily basis. There are many things I think we can all agree that we accepted or did not police as a community, things that in reality should have been done away with long ago. I think it would be a true shame to let this "new leaf" MMO-C has turned over go to waste and revert back to our old selves endlessly making the same threads over and over asking people pointless questions like "What is the sexiest race" or "What was the best instance of all time".

Perhaps because I am 24 years old that some of these childish acts of immaturity turn me off in such a strong way, or perhaps I just don't have much patience for annoyances. Anyone else with me on this one? Or did you love the old way of things?

Counter culture itself isn't bad, it's that most people don't understand why or how to do it. Just like most everything.

You second point is 100% incorrect. Doing what everyone else is doing is generally a safe bet, not many people are suicidal, and normally not in large quantities in one area. If everyone in your city suddenly killed themselves the day before your 40th birthday though...
