Yeah and we never got it and I'm pretty sure we never are going to get it so likely something they announced for Cataclysm will be left out and never gotten.

All of you upset with the removal of the guild talent points system into this achieved system that has a linear approach to it need to read this post: Why the removal of a few features is a good thing.

Basically, all the talent point system would do to a guild is make it difficult for players to stay with a guild that doesn't support them 100% on what they do. You'll either have pvp focused guilds or pve focused guilds and players that enjoy doing both will be hindered due to the fact that neither guild will have the advantages of it's counterpart. This would make people guild hop much more and create more chaos amongst guild creators who'll have to decide which talents to take advantage of. With the linear approach and giving everyone the same exact advantages regardless of what type of guild you're in and what type of player you are it benefits everyone much more and goes even further to making players desire to stay in a guild a prolonged amount of time.

it's not like they add shitloads of quests, remodeling a whole world, giving 2 new races, new lore about great characters and changing the classes completly.
