The Maelstrom

The Maelstrom was a new inn in the Lower City of Shattrath. It was constantly hosting parties, and it was very reliable for a good time. The rules were simple - no arguing, no fighting, no causing trouble. Night after night, people came there sober to leave drunk. It also had a casino to the side, though that was not run by Peranor. Nelthani(night elf female) ran the casino.

Valakin walked into the Maelstrom and sat at the bar. "Get me a drink, Robert(human)." he said. "Sure thing, Val. The usual?" the barkeeper asked. "Yup." was the reply. Behind them, a band was playing. There were all kinds of people dancing. Upstairs, there were the rooms. The manager, Peranor(blood elf) was wandering around making sure everyone was having a good time.

Upon entering Shattrath there was one place on Gilon's mind to stop by... The Maelstrom. While working with the Scryers Gilon had come here every second night and was looking forward to the music, dancing and most of all the mead. now where amde it like The Maelstrom

Peranor saw Gilon enter. "Gilon! What's happening? Here for another night of fun?" he asked.

"Here's your drink, Val. Oh, Nel just got back from an excursion. She wanted to talk to you." Robert told Valakin. "Okay, I'll go see her." He picked up his drink and walked into the casino. Nel ran up and hugged him. "Val! So good seeing you again! How have you been?" she asked him. They talked about what they had been doing.

[Solaris]

As Solaris hopped off from his hand-made flying machine he had a single thing in his mind. Heading off to the Maelstrom for some music, brew, and gambling (and flirting with Nel wouldn't hurt). He walked down there as he cleaned the blood from his weapons. He had just finished an assassination for the Shattered Sun Offensive. As he stepped in he asked Rob for a mug of the finest ale he had. He wasn't going to walk straight by the time he got home.

[Valakin]

"Welcome, back, Solaris. One sec..." he went into the back for a second to get the finest stuff they had. He poured Sol a mug. "Here ya go. Let me guess..you're going to get drunk, then you're going to gamble, and then Nel will end up taking you home. Am I right?"

[Solaris]

"You know me so well old friend."

[Valakin]

"Haha, that I do. A word of advice, though. Watch out for the night elf named Valakin, he's insane at gambling. Also, I think Nel might have a thing for him." Robert said. Valakin walked up to the bar again, as if he heard his name. "Well it looks like we have a serious drinker here. What's your name?"

[Solaris]

"I'm Solaris. And from what I hear they call you Valakin"

[Valakin]

"That's my name. So, what brings you here?" Val asked Solaris.

[Solaris]

"Same as all here. The brew, music, and to gamble"

"Oh, fun. Good luck in cards, then." Valakin turned and walked back into the casino.

After a long ride all the way too the Dark Portal then west too Shattrath for yet another Potion Delivery, Thorok decided to stay the night in an inn. Low on funds, he decided Lower City was the place to go. Leaving Crackers with Ilthuril the Scyer Stable Master, he headed back down the lift to the Lower City. He noticed a rather large and new looking place called 'The Maelstrom'. Entering, Thorok approached the barman.

"A room for one, cheapest you've got" Thorok. Handing over a few Silver from his pouch once the barman told him how much a single room for one night would be, Thorok left the bar side.

Turning to head to his room, he noticed a bit of a gathering in the bar. Although Thorok was by instint a loner, whenever he came to a new place, he liked to eavesdrop on a bit of the gossip of the land, so he quickly headed to his room. Shifting into his wolven form, he prowled back down to the main bar, and curling up on the corner as if to just be one extremely transparent dog, pretending to sleep as he listened in on the groups conversation. They appeared to be looking to play a game or too. Thorok wondered at the thought of a few extra gold.

He decided to bide his time, learn the rules of their games, before joining them and swindling them for all they were worth.

"Hello again Peranor sorry for the delayed responce i was just enjoying being back here, what has it been 2, 3 years ?" said Gilon as he began to take a seat.

"Oh! can i get the usual?"

Robert looked up. "Gilon! Long time no see! I'll get your drink immediately" he came back with a bubbling mug of mead. "Here ya go. Where have you been?"

[GIlon]

"Ah my old friend I have been places. Up in Northrend this whole time, lending my services to the Sunreavers." said Gilon who then took a very large sip of him mead producing a smile on his face.

Gretari strolled casually into the inn . Last time he went out drinking he finished by hurling a beer jug at a mage and running off . He hoped to avoid violence this time around .

'Can I have a pint please mate ? ' Gretari asked the barman

"Sure." Robert got him a mug of mead.
