We are trying to save this pet from oblivion.
Blues recommended to post on Suggestion forums and so we did.

But to get their attention I am urging you to go and bump us.

Iirc people have confirmed getting the scorchling and the ice chip from bags this year on wowhead.

Using wowhead as source of information is same as quoting wikipedia in your research paper.

Ask any of those people to post link to their armory so you can check their live feeds.
All that were asked to do so realized that it was Ice Chip that they got.

Can anyone with 100% confidence say that the Scorchling was indeed removed and replaced by the new pet?
I want them both!

I've done the event on each of my 11 80's....i found 2 staffs, 1 ice elemental pet and lots of frost emblems...but no fire elemental pet yet, hope it does drop

noooooooooooooooooo the only reason i leveled my mage this year instead of during cataclysm was to get the fire elemental for mainspec and arcane element for offspec

That's kind of a bummer. I was looking forward to nabbing Mini-Baron Geddon (as I've spent the last year or so farming him). Oh well, the ice guy looks cool too.

Not entirely sure but not all blues are tracked.
Mainly developers are checked often. Those that work as community maangers post mostly "locking this thread" etc.

World Designer being very specific about pet not being available from vendor but it's not removed also so there is a shot for other means to get it.

What surprised most people is the fact they didn't even mention changing pets.
Look at the new pet item. Slightly funny and extremely sneaky way to add a pet.
