I simply stated what works for ME. Now what works for you may be a lot different, but if you come in and just parrot how you do it because EJ says so, well then I know you don't much think for yourself. Also for my particular spec, which is Dirgeless, I like using AMS as both a defensive and offensive CD because it increases the number of DCs I can throw. Also if you aren't using it right then you're doing yourself a disservice.
My spec, which nets me pretty much the same DPS in 4pc10 badge as the OP: http://www.wowhead.com/talent#jZG0xx...zx0uIqo:LbsMV0
To Alex, sorry but I don't know of a simulator for Macs. If you are using boot camp you can download Kahories from:

try using a priority system

oh and as for testing on dummies i would suggest not to because some talents dont work on them and if the targets at 1 hp you unholy blight will only do 1 damage. Plus when your in a raid you have all the buffs you would normally have

unholy doesnt have a priority system it has a set in stone rotation. PS/IT/BS/BS/SS/DC -> SS/BS/BS/SS/DC/DC
also the glyph of scourge strike is pretty terrible, I'm sure its not the only reason your dps is lower then you want but you really wan the glyph of icy touch. If you have the badges the herkuml war token parses better then wsf. IDK if someone mentioned it but check your spells and ability levels, if you haven't played unholy much this expansion there is the off hand chance that you are rockin some lower level ranks of your spells.
The Kahorie sim just recently got a mac port I believe. check out the Kahorie thread on EJ.
You may want to try alternating your BS and SS like this:
PS/IT/BS/SS/BS/DC
SS/BS/SS/BS/DC/DC
This allows for slightly higher dps (not much mind you) and more flexibility in your rotation.
I will check that out tyvm.
Also, I would like to report my dps problem for the most part is solved... I did 16k dps last night on Saurfang
I have HWT already... =)
I have been alternating my BS and SS like you said... =)
I am chucking glyph of Scourge Strike and I just bought glyph of Icy touch, thanks! =)
If there is anything to add... Please do so, I want all the help I can get...
So you are one of the world's 104 best dps, but you are unguilded, and unrecorded. No. Just no.
A priority system will always give you better results than a set rotation which can be thrown off,
1. FF
2. BP
3. DC if next move would go over RP cap
4. BS for desolation
5. SS w/ Desolation up
6. BS
7. DC
8. HoW
General rotation will be IT/PS/BS/SS/BS-Dump-SS/BS/SS/BS-Dump- Repeat
Necrosis doesn't work on dummies, nor will unholy blight, old bugs.I do 6k dps or so on dummies and I've done upwards of 13k on saurfang. Try a raid and then compare your dps. GL

IT/PS/BS/SS/BS/DUMP
SS/BS/SS/BS/DUMP
omfg so sry how can I forget Desolation editing rq.
P.S. Rotations are made by following priorities, if it happens to fall into a set loop they call it a rotation so it's easier to follow. Priorities will be better for you though so if you get a revitalize or something, you'll know how to make the best use of it.

:-)
Re the Priority vs Rotation issue, you're making it more complicated than it need be. Unholy uses a rotation. You have a little wiggle room to fit in some extra DC's if you're getting external RP, but if you were to follow your priority listed and your pocket Druid and Disc P have you overflowing, then it would be a dps loss to burn through all that RP. You need to maintain your rotation so that your runes are on CD and you don't lose your 2.5 sec(?) grace period.
Priority has it's place in certain fights, but it's not best practice for Unholy in a general sense.
