Decimate - 10 Man Strict - 10/12 HC - LF Tanks!

Decimate are a ten man strict guild located on the alliance side of Eonar PvE. What follows is a brief introduction to us as a guild, the details of our current raiding times and finally, our current recruitment status.

Guild Information:-

Decimate have been together close to a year now and during that time, we've been entirely focused on the ten man raiding scene. We intend to continue this trend into Cataclysm where choosing between a ten man and twenty five man environment will become more of a personal choice than a gear based necessity anyway.

Several of our members have known each other for a number of years, having been guilded together in the past. Our leadership have experience dating back to vanilla content and for the most part, have been at the high end of the PvE raiding scene.

We're a very small guild. We don't recruit for "bench" or back up spots. This ensures minimum rotation of raid spots and people rarely sit out. On the other hand, it does mean that we depend upon our members to attend the raids and people quitting is particularly painful.

Due to the intimate size of the guild, our members come to know each other very well. If you're a shy person who prefers a more tightly knit atmosphere, this may suit you perfectly. You'll be raiding with 9 other friends rather than a chunk of "acquaintances".

Most of the guild are theory crafter's and we're looking for players that stay on top of class and game changes and are keen to squeeze every drop of potential out of their class. We do take our raiding rather seriously and you should be prepared for that. We expect you to strive to be the best that you can and our environment is competitive. As such, you will be tested.

We have members located all over Europe and as such, the language used in both guild chat and on ventrillo is English.

Most of our members are in their 20s and have other commitments outside of the guild. Due to this, we do have a policy of recruiting players of age 18 and over only.


Progression:-

We're currently EU rank 21 on the ten man strict ladder

Icecrown 10 Normal - Clear
Icecrown 10 Heroic - 10/12 (we're working on Sindragosa)

TotC 10 Normal - Clear
TotC 10 Heroic - Clear with Insanity titles.



Our Raiding Schedule:-

Traditionally, our raiding schedule has been four evenings a week:-

Monday: 7.30pm - 11pm
Tuesday: 7.30pm - 11pm
Wednesday: 7.30pm - 11pm
Thursday: 7.30pm - 11pm

At present due to many members wishing to spend more time in the sunshine, we're raiding two evenings a week for the duration of summer. Our raid schedule will pick up again for Cataclysm and interested parties should keep this in mind. Our current raid schedule is as follows:-

Monday: 7.30pm - 11pm
Tuesday: 7.30pm - 11pm

Additional raids may initially be added when Ruby Sanctum goes live. The above raiding times are server time so CET. Please be aware of that if you're from the UK


Ten Man Strict:-

Until Cataclysm launches, it's important for any interested parties to fully understand the restrictions placed upon ten man strict guilds. The only way for them to be ranked is to follow the guidelines set out by www.guildox.com. This prevents members' of ten man strict guilds from taking part in 25 man content.

As such, applying to Decimate means that you are willing to forgo twenty five man content entirely. This is particularly important to understand with the up coming release of Ruby Sanctum.

We *can* currently accommodate players who have 25 man raiding flags so please don't be put off by this is you have decided to switch focus to ten man raiding.


Current Recruitment:-

We're currently recruiting to fill a couple of holes that have appeared due to summer burnout.

Tanks:-

Unfortunately for us, these have affected our tanks and we're desperately searching for two new tanks. We'll consider any tanking class but please keep in mind our current level of progression. Everything upto Sindragosa is clear in Icecrown heroic so ideally, you'll have the gear to step straight in and progress with us to the end of ICC. Our current requirements are:-

1 x Tank - Any class

We're also looking for another player who would enjoy a more part time tanking role. This would ideally suit a melee DPS main spec who enjoys dabbling in tanking on occasion.


Healers:-

We're currently interested in ONE full time healer. We'll consider any class for this spot.

1 x Healer


DPS:-

We're currently interested in two additional DPS to join the roster. Ideally for the caster spot, we're looking for a warlock willing to play demonology for the remaining duration of Wrath raiding.

For the melee spot, a feral druid would be ideal. However, we'd consider applications from a rogue, DPS warrior or retribution paladin for this spot.

We'd also consider an application from an exceptional hunter.

Exceptional Applications:-

We will always consider applications from exceptional players. We very much follow the ethos of "bring the player and not the class". If you're truly dedicated to the ten man scene, consider yourself exceptionally skill and are genuinely looking for a new home, then please drop us an application regardless. We may just be able to accommodate you.

Please be aware that due to our very small size and how much this restricts our potential raid setups, we prefer players to have an offspec that they are both geared for and have experience playing.
