I have watched Jiders videos myself and although they are interesting, I have come to the conclusion that he has was to much time on his hands to spend an hour+ soloing grobbs. None the less Jider seems to know what he is doing and uses some of the more interesting items in the game to prove sucessful.

Of course he has to much time. Thats why he came up with this idea in the first place.
He probably was extremely bored and thought about something challenging.
