Did you really just do that? Really, it's Worgen. Get it through your tiny head, which is apparently filled with Fuck.

So that is how it ends up in Northrend.

So... the Scythe of Elune is the reason for the Worgen in Gilneas... which means the Night Elves are the reason for them. This is why the Night Elves go to their aid and why their join the alliance.
Except that Velinde attempts to travel to Silverpine with the Scythe of Elune in hand because she heard that Arugal was also summoning worgen. Velinde somehow dies and loses the Scythe, which is found and tampered with by Jitters, thereby releasing worgen in Duskwood.

Most annoying is still ally using the plural for horde (horde), as "hordes".

I am left wondering now with Blizzard's new plot twist (with the story about Druids trying to master a shapeshift form into Worgen caused some of them to go rabid and cause the "curse") if the story involving Velinde and Jitters will remain intact.

Alright... lets make some things clear. The first worgen were night elf druids who worshiped Goldrinn. They were called the Druids of the Scythe. They shapeshifted into the feral worgen form and eventually lost their minds to its violent nature. The other druids agreed that these worgen must be locked away. And here comes the Scythe of Elune. Its purpose is to be used like a wake up stick for the worgen when in times of great danger. And then Velinde uses it to cleanse Ashenvale of remaining demons...blah blah blah... she lost it, then Arugal found it... blah blah blah... you know the rest.

I thought about ways around the timeline problem, and here is what I have.

    - Arugal summons worgen through arcane magic and curses Pyrewood
    - Velinde uses the Scythe of Elune in Felwood to summon worgen to fight demons
    - Velinde goes on a quest with the Scythe of Elune to find Arugal, who may help her with the worgen
    - While she travels, Forsaken/Horde kill Arugal in Shadowfang Keep
    - The Lich King's darkfallen princes Keleseth, Valanar, Theraldis and Atherann resurrect Arugal
    - On route, Velinde is killed by worgen (or maybe the darkfallen above?) and loses the Scythe of Elune in Duskwood
    - Jitters accidentally unleashses the worgen in the mines of Duskwood
    - Jitters hides the Scythe of Elune in the Yorgen farmstead where they are killed by Black Riders (again, maybe the Darkfallen)
    - (1-2 Years Ago, WotLK) Arugal now uses the Scythe of Elune to start the Wolf Cult in the Grizzly Highlands
    - Tampering with the Scythe of Elune breaks the seals on the "Worgen Trees." (The worgen crisis of Gilneas now begins.)
    - Horde steals the chest containing the Scythe of Elune
    - Alliance steals the chest back and inadvertently give it backs to the Wolf Cult
    * Present *
    - Somehow the Scythe of Elune finds itself back in the hands of the night elves, who are now helping the Gilneans with their worgen curse. But the Forsaken steal the Scythe, and now you have to steal back...again
