i generally tip 50-100g on anything just because many times i am a repeat customer and if you treat them well enough they often end up returning the favor (picking up obscure enchants or gems, tipping you well)
though on my LWing i get tipped anywhere from 15g to 1500g, yes 1500g one time
I always do 20g for normal chants and or JCers.
If im having them do multiples 2 or 4 things. i do 40-50g.

I only tip for Blacksmithing or Enchanting (enchants that I don't know) because I have mains or alts with JC, LW, Mining, Skinning and access to the other professions.
For black smithing, I tip 100 to 200g per crafted item as those patterns are not easy to get and people aren't always available. It's way cheaper than the mark-up of what people sell crafted items for on the AH. With enchanting, the only enchants I need are BoP for instance as I already have an enchanter, but because that toon doesn't raid I need BoP enchants from time to time. I usually tip 50g for an enchant I can't do myself.
Portals 5-10g.
The way I look at it, is if you don't tip reasonably, people won't be interested in doing stuff for you. From time to time, I'll cut gems for people and they'll tip 5 or 10g, it's really not even worth my time to party up with them to cut a gem or 2.
I'm a crafters best friend. Usually tip alot just to get someone to do it for me faster and more to my convenience, like running to me etc.
The time I needed an ICC recipe crafter for my friend I said "LF crafter ***** will give 200g tip, is outside north bank with mats" got traded in 15sec ofc.
Gems is about 15-20g each if I don't have the recipe myself. Enchants the same, 15-20g at least.
10-15 for portals, gems, flasks, pots etc.
anywhere upto 1k gold for crafts
15g for portals, sometimes 20g, sometimes 50g because I'm the only Mage in the city.
For enchants and/or other crafts 10g (those with 1-10 sec cast time, things like choppers which take a minute to create I take 50g+ fee)
2-3g / per item disenchanted.
10g for gems and chants
30g for hard to find shit
50g for weapon chants
100g for getting shit made
I tip 10-20g for gem cutting, 5g for portals and anything else tipworthy I give whatever I feel like. Depends on the person doing it, usually I don't ask random people but have a couple of names I rely on.
Usually I'll tip 20-25g, unless they are asking for tips, then they get 0.
if its not worth tipping 50g, its not worth wasting someone else's time.
for a portal to Dala, i'll go around 10g, but thats only for the first time for character, once i got my hearth there, who cares about portals ?
I'll usually tip anywhere from 10-15g for normal things to 50g for a rare bc enchant like cat's swiftness.
Some people are really nice about new instance patterns, for example at Ulduar launch I got the dps boots as a blacksmith, only person on server and I replied to our crafting wiki that I could, some kind ally xfered all of the mats and tipped 2k gold. Guess it really depends on the rarity.
Sure, it's your $14.95 a month to play as you want, but in a raid it's our $358.50 and we think you're retarded.

Portals - 5-10g (if needed)
A 5 min transmute specialist job - 35-45g ( depending on the procs )
That's it mostly
I stopped with the "LFW Enchanting, maxed blabla", no gold in that, but if I see some1 that needs an enchant, I give him my offer ( your mats + 10g tip ).
I tip!
5g for a portal
when I used to not have enchanting / JC
Gem Cut - 5G
Enchant - 10g
DE - 1g per item

I had all the TOC/ICC patterns (LW) pretty fast, hence I got alot of requests to make items. To the answer which tip/free I wanted, I always said, and still say, that a tip isnt needed.
in 80% of the cases they will tip anyways, variying from 10 to 200g. Ofcourse I do take the tip at that point, but I seriously don't mind crafting items for free. It takes 10 seconds.
Tipping is customary, not mandatory. I only tip if they arent jerkoffs.
I tipped 150g on top of 100g crafting fee last time someone crafted a 264 for me. I am a jc and enchanter myself and people will usually give me 10g-15 a cut.
