Which race to play

I want to start a shammy alt, but which race shall i pick? Either orc, troll or tauren, and I think its mostly gonna be resto. Which race has the best looks and racials? Also I could use some tips as a starting resto shaman xD

Female troll. Armor looks good on them and the racial isn't awful. Then again, as resto, it's probably as good as you can get really.

Out of those female orc would be my pick, they have sweet casting animations. Why not draenei, we're the cutest :3 (females anyway)

if it's just an alt i'd say make it and just play when you're rested, and wait for cata to come because all racials could be getting a change up, tauren might get something that could be more beneficial to raid, because as it is now tauren isn't really a great choice for a sham but saddly i didn't know that much when i started playing on mine, and i'm for sure not going to pay $25 to change to an orc when tauren could be getting a buff in a few months come cata

For Resto/Elem, troll has the best racials w/ the haste buff that is good at all lvls.

For Enh, orc is best w/ weapon racials, dps trinket, and more pet dmg.

For PvP, tauren for warstomp aoe stun.

I personally like Orc's best, they just seem the most fitting for shaman and the racials are all pretty good. For you, I would go Troll, female cause they look better in armor.
