[Although running a in-game (wow) Casino is 100% Legal And Legit (aslong as you do not scam anyone, and pay up if they win)
Advertising in ANY public channel (trade, say, yell etc) IS BANNABLE under 'Spamming' If 50 players right click your name and select
'Report For Spam'
You will Recieve a 12-24hour ACCOUNT MUTE (you will not be able to talk in any public channel,
on any of your Characters on the Account Reported)
Also if a player Phsyicaly opens a ticket to a gm and Reports you, you WILL recieve a 3day Ban Wether you've scammed or not The reason for this is:
*Although Running a in-Game casino is not a bannable offense Blizzard feels that The Way casino hosts choose to 'advertise'
players to join there casino can disrupt players game experience the same way gold sellers do.

NOTE: THIS IS FOR US ONLY! RUNNING A IN-GAME CASINO ON EU IS A BANNABLE OFFENSE

Casino is not a scam it does not make you free gold its still upto RNG (random number generator)!!

you have a 59% chance to win, while they have a 41% Chance to win!
but if people are smart they will win once and WALK AWAY

Step 1: Gold
-The Minimum Gold i recommend starting with is a pool of
1,000g
(Tip: If your 1,000g Pool ever gets 'flushed' (you loose it all) just stop for the night and try again next night.. You can increase/decreases your min/max Bet
Depending on your pool size: if you only have 500g, can do min: 1g max: 30g or if you have 50,000g you could do min: 100g max: 5,000)


Step 2: Character/Costume
-There is two Ways you can do this:
*Level 80 In decked out gear
(to show your a end-game Raider in good gear and a respectable guild, Which if you scammed you would lose!)
*Level 1 In Expensive 'RP' Gear
(Shows your not afraid to spend Big Bucks on Gear to show your a respectable Casino)
[Guild Names Such as: <Casino Royal> Can also help build up trust]
(NOTE: Business may start off slow even with all the above, The best way to attract costumers is TIME and REPUTATION, the more you do it the more you will build up a trust with your clients and people will be happy when they win and might yell out /yell X is legit! Just won 10,000gold! )


Step 3: Macros:
-These are a very important tool to make running your casino, Quick - Easy - Smart And to keep the business rolling at a fast pace

Step 4: - [Best Way To Avoid 'Report For Spam']
1. right click on 'general' chat window
2. Select 'Create New Window'
3. Name it '/Yell'
4. Right click the new window and select 'Settings'
5. Deselect ALL Chat Types BUT 'YELL'
6. Drag this somewhere on your screen

What this does is you have a second chat box for yells ONLY, when you /yell something after 3-5mins It 'Fades' AWay from the log
this is when you can re-do Your Advertising macro
If you Just keep spamming your macro to often all your customers will report you to spam, and wont play with your casino!
This Also gives ALL casino Users bad names.


Step 5: - [If you chose the option to use a low level character to run your casino I suggest the following items to help you look more 'legit']
Necklace: Talisman of True Treasure Tracking
Chest: Tuxedo Jacket
Shirt: Tuxedo Shirt
Wrists: Antique Silver Cufflinks
Weapon: Diamond Tipped Cane (Enchants do not show on it :<)
Pants: Tuxedo Pants
Shoes: Dress Shoe's - Minor Speed Enchant
Ring 1: Gold Eternium Band
Ring 2: Noble's Elementium Signet
Helm: Ruby Shades (to show your REALLY wealthy this helm does nothing but has a value of 1500-2000g [No Longer Buyable Must Be Bought Off Player!]

Other Suggestions:
*If your Casino is VERY Popular I suggest you Level to 10 To be able to make a raid
*Also 'Auto-Invite' Addons are a great tool if they type 'invite' to you it will auto-inv them to your raid!
*NEVER tell anyone how much gold you make/Lose if you say 'oh yeah just won 10,000g in 1hour pretty good' then they will start there own casino!
The more casino's there are less customers you get, and the more people hate them / report them cause the spam gets to much! (idiots trying to out spam eachother)

Scammers/tips/tricks: - [WATCH OUT FOR THESE]
*A very popular scam against casino's is '/roll 60-100' this will make the player win every roll no matter what he will ALWAYS win
They will do a few legit rolls maybe lose twice then bet BIG and i mean BIG 10,000g+ and do a /roll 60-100 before you notice he did it your gold is gone!

*Another 'trick' players use is a trick this is what it will look like
-Player bets 30g
-Player bets 60g
-Player bets 90g
-Player bets 120g
They go up by 30 until they win, so they might lose, 30g+60g+90g, then they win 120g so u pay them 240!
they will always win in the end and once they win they go back to 30g!

*Tip: Always add high rollers and how much they're betting to your friends list, especially if they won gold off you, try to convince them to come back and try there luck again! (DO NOT SPAM THEM! SHOW THEM RESPECT)
to win some of your gold back! i lost 1,000gold to a priest added him he did ICC:25M when he came out he tried his luck again lost 4,500g!

This is just basicly scamming no matter how I look at it.

Wouldn't one person be required to be the bank in this, if I've understood things right? That's just begging to be abused.

According to the US Scam Policy,

If you would run a casino in this case, this would mean that you would have to be sure that your participants are fully aware of how it works and/or guarantee that you will provide truthfull and correct help if they do not understand and/or a missunderstanding arises.
As this cannot be guarnateed by "some guy", I think it can be classified as a scam.
Definetly easy to abuse, definetly easy to fool someone (Fraud) with.

And as you point out, it's bannable according to the European Scam Policy.

So I'm wondering what the point of your post is. This is not a US-specific forum. As you pointed out yourself, there are a lot of reasons you can get muted or banned for this.

by bank do you mean 'the host' / 'the dealer' ? if so yeah i am the person with the higher chance to win (just like real life casino's)

And the reason why i don't feel its 'dangerous' is if a casino dealer scams your gold a simple ticket will get the player a hefty / permanent (depending if hes done it before) ban and your gold back.

I saw quite a few Casinos playing in Dalaran pretty early in to Wrath, but they suddenly completely vanished. I've never seen another one since. Perhaps they were spamming too much and got themselves a nice ban, I figured that it was outlawed and any casinos that popped up got squashed before I ever noticed them.

If Blizzard actually got the balls to make their own unique in-game Gambling Game, where people can bet gold without the chance of getting scammed, then I would find it more acceptable. But trusting yourself to a level 1 gnome on the Ironforge Bridge won't work.

The longiest ban you can get for advertising casino is 3hours-3days due to it being such a minor offense 'spamming' and aslong as your not hardcore spamming you barely get reported if ever.

also if you go in game press the red '?' at the bottom of your screen and go to hot topics:

also blizzard never 'unbanned it for acouple days' get your facts right please, it was banned late vannila, then unbanned mid bc. they use to have a post in the TOS/EULA about casino being bananble which was removed (still exsists for EU tho)
oh and yes. if you trust a lv 1 gnome in no gear then you deserve to get banned.. i use my main char which is a end game raider with bane of the fallen king, in the 2nd highiest guild on my server. i would lose my charcter, my account, my guild and everything i worked for over scamming a little gold? only a idiot would do that.

and if there is a group/raid its still just one person accepting/holding the bets, but he'll do one at a time goes in a circle to give everyone a fair chance to play.
