Is there any other way of getting the beta exept:

Doing the guild contest
Being an vanilla player
Friend and family thing

Im an TBC player so yeah sux for me

I've been playing since release date, but never recieved a Beta key.

Being a vanilla player has nothing to do with it.

Go to your battle.net account and go to the beta preferences. Then select the World of Warcraft option.

After that, it's all about luck.

pfft i wish blizz cared enough to give long time vanilla users a beta key but apparently any no brained noob can just get it if they sign up

Yeah I definitely opted in months ago and still haven't got an invite. And yet a friend of mine opted in last week and immediately got an invite in the first wave QQ

Yeah, I was in the WotLK F&F alpha and I'm a veteran. I chose to not take part in the current beta because I want the experience to be somewhat fresh (videos and reading every tidbit of news aside). Ｍｙ life just doesn't allow for time to both continue trying to get my alts up to 80 before Cata and playing the beta. I had to choose one or the other, and I chose the former.

But most people have to rely on the randomness of getting a beta key. Not everyone knows a Blizzard employee.
