All those black areas were not caused by Deathwing, those were caused when the Quillboar raided, either by fire or by the Scourge inside the Razorfen Downs just to the south. Also, the area that had all the giant thorn vines has always been controlled by the Quillboar, so the comments about the Cataclysm causing this and that... not true.

Hire professionals you say? What constitues as a "professional beta tester"?

PROFESSIONAL testers are tasked with doing the same task over and over again to check for bugs, then when something bad happens, they need to do THAT over and over again in order to reproduce the bug. They also need to provide feedback on EVERYTHING they do.

Proffessional: Paid to do something.

IE> Repetetive tasks. Not just running through quest areas, but standing in every area of the map, doing EVERYTHING they can to glitch or bug the game, paying absolute attention to the most miniscule things. As in, proffessional, paid game testers.

Unfortunately, for an MMO of WoW's size, large amounts of testing need to be done by large quantities of people. As someone who has worked in game QA before, I can attest the massive feat they go through for linear, single player games. Doing it for an MMO is a gargantuan effort, and why bugs crop up every single patch.
