    Question Stratholme in Cata?

I apologize in advance if this has been posted before but I didn't see any videos. How's Stratholme looking in Cata beta? Not the CoT event, but the burning Stratholme that hasn't been changed since Vanilla. I'd really like to see the zone and lore advanced now that the Lich King no longer has power over it.

Here's hoping for a New Lordaeron one day.

Most of EPL is still Scourge-controlled. There is a larger Argent Crusader presence in places such as the PvP towers and Light's Hope. As far as I remember, there is a large smoke cloud over the outdoor Stratholme and an invisible wall blocking entry over it.

Well the mobs have been reduced to be around level 50 rather then 60. Otherwise I can't say if there's been any significant changes. The zone itself isn't open for testing, but we do know the Argent Crusade is gaining serious ground, even if the Scourge still control most of the zone (WPL is a different matter of course).
Roleplaying, hardcore Raiding, running LFR on the occasional weekend, PvPing, rolling alts, achievement hunting, pet battling, or just enacting an endless series of whims, I don't care how you play WoW. Just as long as you have fun doing it.

If its ever controlled it would probably be by the argent dawn, yes dawn.. because in beta that faction has come back into play and useful again while the argent crusade is still working in northrend.
As for the new lorderon ...the forskaen say hi, also if we ever see cataclysm .2 again in a latter expansion where blizzard decide to shake up the zones again, possibly...

How is the Scourge still there in the first place? Lich King is good and the few that may have been freed would most likely either join the forsaken or be wiped out in a matter of days with the combination of Silvermoon, Undercity, and the Argent Crusade. Unless the Ghostlands were only a...never mind. No beta FTL

Well, considering that only one person doesnt make much of a difference in numbers with the Scourge, even if it IS Arthas. And who says they'd be freed?

The Scourge are controlled telepathicly from the lich king. now that he is good, how are they a threat? And yes, bolvar is a good lich king, im not even gonna bother playing World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Redux

supposedly if they were left without a controller they'd go on a mad blood-crazed frenzy instead of contently gnawing on brains until called on by their master. thus explaining the whole "must always be a lich king"

for some reason bolvar is trying to keep everything really subtle so no one notices there is infact a new lich king, and not just a bunch of zombies wandering around without control. maybe he doesn't want to be targeted by a raid group eager to break his prison and get his loots.

bolvar COULD, since he can control the undead, tell them all to cast corpse explosion on themselves or hop in the nearest fire, but that would be conspicuous. :O

instead he's just kind of holding back and letting the argent crusade do their thing, taking back the plaguelands.
argent dude 1: hmm these zombies aren't putting up much of a fight
argent dude 2: well durr they killed the lich king remember?
argent dude 1: oh yea.. *slices ghoul's head off* that explains it

    instead of..

argent dude 1: whoa why are the zombies just jumping into the pit and burying themselves? that's a little strange
argent dude 2: the lich king must still be alive! TO ARMS BROTHERS, THERE IS LOOT TO BE HAD!!!
*25 people go up to the top of ICC*
argent dude 24: there he is in that crystal! break it and stab his eyes out!! >: D
argent dude 14: lol roll for the hat..

The Scourge in Lorderon isn't' under LK control anyway. Arthas' reach couldn't extend that far, thus, the forsaken was born out of those few conscience undead. The rest are either just evil or brain dead zombies following the evil. So LK isn't a factor in that area. But it does prove the point of "there must always be a Lich King" because, look what happened to the few that were freed and the overrun they caused. Imagine if ALL the undead went that route.

That has nothing to do with the Forsaken. The Forsaken were created when Arthas and the Lich King's powers began to wane during TFT. Sylvanas, raised as a banshee at the time, was really pissed about having most of her race genocided and used that to break free from the weakened grasp of control. She took a lot of undead with her and created the Forsaken.

The Lich King's powers of control had/have no limited range.
