    U-turn with Holy Shock

So it seems that Blizzard changed their minds about Holy Shock being to similar to Art of War, and have made it the Holy active ability. Thoughts, feelings on this change?

Probably a place holder or so. Thats what I hope

Holy shock sucked in the first place, it's really just a small instant heal. It's not relevant enough to really be anything other than an "OH SHIT" button. And even then, you're not the only healer in a raid, and a flash heal more than does the job.

Edit: correct me if i'm wrong, please, and this edit is not out of arrogance.

This I believe is the reason Blizz made it the Holy active abiltiy, they said before in connection to priests how they don't want healing spec's active ability to be just a heal, as that doesn't help with leveling. Holy Shock of course is an attack as well as a heal, so it makes sense to have it as the Holy active.

I bet the Holy Shock for Holy is that "Mending" thing in the MMO-C Database (HS Crit heals heal for an additional 15% over 6 sec).

We believe a lot of the datamined stuff to be placeholders- Ret Paladins have DS and Demo Locks have Felguard, and Blizzard said on both that that would not happen.

If is was Baseline, Holy would still have access to it.

Its a bit disappointing, as are are most of the Paladin skill and specialisations. There was so much they coudl do it, and the fact that iot was similar to AoW wasn't a drawback...but an opportunity to make that talent actually meaningful by enmcouraging some change to Exorcism. Not to mention, HS was part of the plan to improve levelling for Paladins as class.

Then again, while this was disappointing for Paladins, it was also a bit of a let down for other classes as well.
Druids got...Feral Druid. Pushback resistance for schools spells. Warriors get Shield Slam.

Locks got Felguard because they get Void Walker earliyer in the Levels. I think it was VW at 8 or so.
So it makes sence they'd change there minds.
    Buuut DS is a Mystery.
