If I want to raid eventually, would rerolling for Cata be stupid?

As the question says. I would really like to play a troll druid as a main, but with my minimal amount of free time it would probably take me ~4 months to get to 85(maybe less if the heirlooms still work under level 80?) since I want to experience the new quests.

However, once I DO get to 85 I would like to raid with a serious-ish guild. Considering the circumstances as of late with everyone requiring xGS and achievements, I'm wondering if I'd be better off leveling up my current main, establishing myself in a raid then rerolling druid part way through. I would prefer the druid route, but don't want to get stuck without a raiding guild like I did after my recent hiatus from the game. What do you think?

4 months in on the Expansion I would assume it would be fairly easy to find a raiding guild established already aswell as people doing the tier 1 raids. So why not start over with your troll druid?
