i know this is off topic but i need to let it off my chest, my cats getting put down later today and its killing me inside, shes 14 and ive always been there for me, the thing is though, i cant stop crying, im gonna miss her so much and even though shes right downstairs, i cant go down to see her cause earlier she gave me this look of just weakness and it made me want to just die.
i dont think ive ever been in such a state, even when family members have died.
i just dont know what to do.

ive been there for all the major things in her life, i was there when she was born, i was there when she had kittens, i just feel horrible.

As cold as this may sound, in time you'll stop crying and move on. Celebrate and feel good about the time you had with your cat, don't mourn her death.
Not much can be said to make you feel better, especially from a bunch of text on the internet. You'll need to find your own way of dealing with what is happening, and seek comfort from those around you.
Sorry to hear about what is going to happen. It's never nice to say goodbye to something you've grown to love.

OP: I know the feeling dude, My cat died a couple of years ago too. It's kinda hard to explain how you feel.(FYI my cat was 18 years, my mother had it before I was born ) I'm 15 btw.

I was in this position once as a senior in high school. My cat spontaneously lost control of her bladder and just hid under chairs/tables. I slept in the basement with her for two nights just to make sure she had food and attention -- assuming cats like that sorta thing. I came home and my father told me she had liver failure, stuttered a bit and said they had to put her to sleep. I was silent for a good five minutes while he took me into the woods where we found her as a stray kitten -- fifteen years prior. I went up to my room and thought about it before it hit me in one giant punch; Hands shaking, face red, throat sore, and crying for the first time since I was in single-digits. You'll feel nostalgic from time to time, but it will ease out well enough.
