Paladins getting love?

All 3 trees are getting a "shard" like system/ or like feral druids/rogues stacking dots (up to 3) will change the way we paladins play, in the end the intentions are good i assume. But what do you think the endresult will be?
Another 3.0 retripaladin totally overpowered or a 3.3.5 paladin style where everything you can do can be outdone/countered by all other classes.
